CDL Fees and ELDT Providers by State

This page lists every record in this site's shared CDL fee and ELDT-provider dataset, one table row per state, with the commercial learner's permit fee, CDL license fee, skills-test fee, and registered entry-level driver training (ELDT) location counts exactly as those records hold them.

What this table contains

51 records, dataset generated 2026-07-09. Fee figures come from each state's own official DMV/DPS/BMVA fee schedule, cited per state in the dataset. ELDT location counts come from the FMCSA Training Provider Registry (tpr.fmcsa.dot.gov).

All 51 records from data/cdl-shared-dataset.json (dataset generated 2026-07-09). Blank figures are not published as a single number by the state; the dataset records that state's own wording.

How to read the two ELDT columns

ELDT locations, active counts registry entries whose provider status is Active. ELDT locations, registered counts every distinct registered location in the FMCSA Training Provider Registry snapshot, including those not currently listed as active. Both are measurements of registered training capacity, not a live seat-availability feed.
